UAE Announces Major Visa change For All

The UAE announces major visa changes Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has introduced a significant change to its visa process through the implementation of a smart services platform. This platform now enables visitors to extend the duration of all visa types for an additional 60 days, with the option available only once.

According to a report by Gulf Today, the extension must be made before entering the country. The cost for extending the visa validity will be AED200, which includes a fee of AED100 for the smart services, AED50 for the application form, and AED50 for the electronic services provided by the authority.

According to the ICP, in order to renew the visa validity, the passport of the applicant must have a validity of at least three months, and they should not be located within UAE when the entry permit is issued. The validity can be extended through the official website of the authority and its smart application on the UAE PASS or through a username.

The ICP also stated that a confirmation email regarding the renewal of the visa will be sent to the registered email address. Additionally, applicants can visit customer happiness centers or ICP-approved typing centers for assistance with the renewal process.

If the application is found to have missing or incomplete information, it will be rejected electronically 30 days after being returned, if the necessary details are not completed within this timeframe. The request will also be rejected if it is returned three times due to incomplete information or missing documents. Any fees and financial guarantees will be refundable if the request is declined.

The fees will be refunded either through the credit card within six months from the date of submission or through the procedure for recovery of fees via cheque or bank transfer to banks within the country only and within a period of five years. The ICP also noted that the rules and regulations are subject to change without prior notice.
